ABOUT RICHARD W. MCCOY, ESQUIRE
Richard W. McCoy graduated from Wellsboro High School in 1999, from Mansfield University in 2004, and from Widener University School of Law in 2007.
In law school, McCoy was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and a Clinic Leader at the Harrisburg Civil Law Clinic, where he helped provided free legal representation to low income families in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
For his work at the law clinic, McCoy recieved the 2007 Widener University School of Law Outstanding Clinical Advocacy Award and pro bono publico service recognition at graduation.
After law school, McCoy was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 2007 and worked as a staff attorney with North Penn Legal Services in Towanda, Pennsylvania before opening his own law office in his hometown of Wellsboro.
In addition to his private practice, McCoy serves as a part-time Special Master with the Family Division of the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas and as the Child Custody Conference Officer for the Tioga County Court of Common Pleas.
McCoy is also currently serving as the President of the Tioga County Bar Association and as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates.
